2021 Ford Bronco Sport
Since 1996, drivers have been awaiting the next Ford Bronco. While it’s not quite here yet, our team at Bohn Ford has some details we’d like to share with interested drivers throughout Harvey, New Orleans, and Metairie about what you can expect from behind the wheel.
In this guide, we’re going to explore the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport, a special edition of the newly designed and evolved Bronco. We’ll provide you with enough details to help you get excited for the day this vehicle is ready for a test drive!
Ford Bronco Sport Engine Specs & Performance
The Bronco Sport comes standard with the turbocharged 1.5L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder engine that boasts 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with an 8-speed SelectShift® automatic transmission. Drivers looking for more of a boost in their performance can opt for the 2.0L EcoBoost® 4-cylinder engine capable of 245 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. It also comes with the 8-speed automatic transmission, but it adds paddle shifters with this engine.
The Ford Bronco Sport was designed to be an adventures off-roader, which is why it comes standard with a 4×4 drive system. It also includes front and rear stabilizer bars to make sure you’re in control and the ride is smooth no matter what the terrain.
This long-awaited SUV has some rather sophisticated features within its cabin. It comes standard with the SYNC® 3 infotainment system with an 8-inch intuitive touchscreen display that you use to select your media options and features. Whether you’re scanning the AM/FM radio, connecting your MP3 player to the USB port or auxiliary input, or even accessing media through your Bluetooth®-paired smartphone, the screen—through touch or Enhanced Voice Recognition—makes it easy and convenient.
The screen also includes AppLink®. This feature lets you integrate your phone into the screen so you can easily access your text messages, contacts, stored media, and—of course—your apps.
Ford Co-Pilot™ 360 Features
The 2021 Bronco Sport comes standard with the Ford Co-Pilot™ 360 suite of driver-assisting technology features. These features work based on exterior-mounted sensors to detect vehicles in your path as well as the lines in the road while factoring in your rate of approach.
These features include Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, and Lane Keeping System.
