Ford Moves Production and Jobs to U.S. from Overseas

After witnessing the steady decline of the American auto industry and now its slow recovery, we are pleased to learn that Ford, America's second largest automaker, has decided to move the production of the four-cylinder EcoBoost engine to the United States from Valencia, Spain. Here at Don Bohn Ford we believe that the more new Ford models in our inventory that have parts with a "Made in the USA" stamp, the better.

Ford Takes Command of the 'Best Cars for the Money' Awards

One of the reasons that Don Bohn Ford maintains this blog is to let Harvey drivers know when our favorite American automaker has picked up an award for one of the models in its lineup of new Ford vehicles. This time we can thank the U.S. News & World Report for recognizing seven separate Ford vehicles with "Best Cars for the Money Awards 2013." This put Ford ahead of all other carmakers when it comes?

SEMA Says Ford Has the Hottest Vehicles

If you've never heard of the SEMA show, allow us to impart some wisdom: it is no ordinary auto show. Normal shows feature some of the world's biggest automakers with updated versions of popular models, or concepts for future models. SEMA, however, is where the aftermarket pros show off their winning ideas, using some of the most modifiable new cars on the market. And you can bet that with every show, Ford is...

Ford Grooms Future Executives

Ford CEO Alan Mulally has been quite the shining star over the last few years. It's no secret that Detroit's major players have had a tough go of it in recent years, and Ford is no exception. Unless you count the fact that Mulally was the captain of the ship that refused to sink - and in 2012, Ford is back on top, providing drivers around the world with some of the most reliable...

Ford and Shelby American Add 200 Horses to the GT500

Earlier this year, the Don Bohn Ford team shared about the 662-horsepower Ford Shelby GT500, one the world's fastest street-legal vehicles, ever. But what if we told you that there's a way to tune that power further? Kind of hard to believe, we know, but Shelby American has found a way to do it.

Ford Fusion Production Begins in Michigan

For a few years, Ford shared their Flat Rock Assembly plant (AutoAlliance International) with Japanese automaker, Mazda. Being that production of their full-size sedan has been moved back to Japan after a redesign, Ford has taken full ownership of the assembly site. Production has increased from just the 2013 Mustang, to the pony car and the new Ford Fusion.

Ford celebrated the arrival of the Fusion alongside 1,200 new employees, and Ford President of...

Ford Invests in the Future of Green Technology

1,000 engineers under one roof? The seems like an awful lot of really smart people in one building - but Ford says that's the number needed to maintain their electric vehicle momentum going forward. And so far, so good - the new Ford lineup will soon feature five new hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric vehicles.

Most of the electric vehicle engineering takes place at the company's Electrification Center in Dearborn, Michigan, where Ford has...

The 2013 Ford Fusion EcoBoost vs The Space Shuttle

You'd never go to space in a Ford Fusion. But then, you'd never hop into the Space Shuttle for a trip to the grocery store, either. Obviously they're two very different vehicles. So what inspired Ford to compare the two? Well, they share something pretty important, as it turns out.

The main turbo pumps in the engines of the Space Shuttle are made with the same nickel-cobalt-tungsten superalloy (MAR M246) used in...

Ford EcoBoost Meets and Then Exceeds Expectations

When Ford introduced their EcoBoost engines in models that are traditionally thought of as gas-thirsty (like their F-150 pickup), industry experts raised their eyebrows. They wondered, What's a fuel-efficient V6 doing in a heavy-duty truck? But then, it didn't take long for them to figure out exactly what Ford was up to: 365 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque, and some very happy drivers.

But then, the F-150 isn't the only...
