Imagine, you go to the Mustang Customizer on the Ford website as usual, and six months later, the dream car you built is parked in your driveway. Let's reiterate: you log in to the Mustang Customizer and build your dream car and you pay nothing and Ford hands you the keys to a brand new car. It's that easy.

That's right. Ford is celebrating the launch of their new Customizer by selecting four of their favorite customized Mustangs to build, and then handing them over to the creators - free of charge. This will include one Mustang V6, one Mustang GT, a Boss 302 and even a Shelby GT500.

The old tool drew more than one million people to build their own Mustang models, and with a new system in place, we expect this number will grow exponentially. The new "Battle Mode" lets you and your friends pit your cars against each other in a popularity vote; you can add your winning design to your Facebook page; and it now integrates seamlessly with your iPhone, iPad, or Android device.

But here's where it gets cool: the more cars you build, the more points you get. The more points you get, the higher your chances of winning the custom-built Mustang. You get points for entering the contest; for customizing as many cars as you can; for sharing your designs on Facebook, Twitter and Google+; for inviting your friends to enter the contest; and even for battling said friends to see who builds the best Mustang.

You know what the really fun part about this year's contest is? Ford has added a "smack talk" function to the battle.
